In May the wonderful growth and flowering in nature continues. May can be a month for enjoying all the new life and new growth, and a time to contribute to new life and growth by planting. I expect to be planting many flowers this May, like in other Mays.
We can consider what new life and new growth may be happening in our lives and lives of others. We can consider how to build on any new life and growth already happening while seeking to help nurture new life and growth.
May is a time of passages, endings, beginnings, milestones. Graduations, which often happen in May, involve both a completion and a new beginning. You can consider your lives and what may be concluding, what may be beginning, what may be continuing in a new phase. With the church we can seek to contribute all we can to completions, beginnings, and continuations.
